As It Was in the Begining...

Now Then,

For the unenlightened my names Tom.

I'm 21, a stone over weight and essentially chin-less.

This blog will be the e-cyber-uber guide to all my travels in 2009.

Here's the plan:

July11th- Land in Warsaw with my lovely girlfriend Helen Selby, then take trains, buses and ferries all the way to Helsinki.

August 1st- Land in London. Say my goodbyes to Helen.

August 4th- Land in Tokyo. Spend three weeks traveling Japan on me Tod.

August 20th- Meet the purple Seoul dweller Harry Pellegrini and then experience the delights of Osaka, Nara and Kyoto (As my mate Scott assures me Kyoto is just a dyslexic mans Tokyo)

September 1st- Land in Beijing. Spend 3 days there then get on the Trans-Mongolian Railway

Sptember4th- Mongolia! (That's all I've got about that at the moment)

September 8th- Siberia. Hang around on a big lake near Irkutsk.

September 9th-20th- Travel all the way to Helsinki via, St Petersberg, Moscow and a few other places along the way.

September 20th- Land in that London and collapse into a pile of backpacks and purple jazz hysteria outside Buckingham Place. (Or another ridiculously hackneyed London landmark)

Why this Blog?

Well you may well ask...ahem...

I travel from Venice to Krakow last year, via everywhere from Bosnia to Berlin and wrote a big of a hurried diary.

This diary was low in quality, especially compared to Harry's, and was lost in Dubrovnik.

I can't lose a blog...can I?

Anyway, I should have blogged that trip.

Annoyingly I've spend half an hour trying to think of a good name for this blog, I don't think I've done to bad. However the journal of that holiday could have been called 'The Eastern Blog'. Puntastic.

Anyway expect a report from Warsaw on the 11th. Or maybe the odd pre report before then.

Tatty Bye for now,

Your man in the West (of Hull),

-Tom
